  Workshop: Initials in the Middle Ages - Create your own bookmark

  In this creative workshop, children and adults discover medieval writing and make a personalised bookmark. Each person traces the first letter of their name onto tracing paper and decorates it with colours and motifs inspired by the Middle Ages. The workshop offers a simple and fun way to explore medieval writing. Everyone can use their imagination and take their own creation home.

  Workshop: Your Luxembourg as a Giant Puzzle

  What does Luxembourg look like through your eyes? Let your imagination run wild and create your own “City Vision”! Draw your neighbourhood, your home, your school, your favourite place… or invent a completely new Luxembourg. Then add your creation to a giant collective puzzle! Little by little, the drawings will come together to create a unique city and country, imagined collectively by the museum’s visitors. A creative, collaborative and participatory workshop for young and old alike.

  Performance: Lëtzebuerg City Museum "SING ALONG!" with Tanja Duprez & Nadja Prange

  19h30, 21h00 & 22h30 | Location: Level 0

  As part of the Nuit des Musées, visitors will have the opportunity to cross the line and switch from whispering to singing at the Lëtzebuerg City Museum. Accompanied by piano, the audience will sing in a warm atmosphere the best songs from a wide repertoire. 

  The musicians Tanja Duprez (vocals) and Nadja Prange (piano/vocals) have been performing on stage together for over a decade, whether as part of the cover band the Noisemakers or as part of the music group Nea Lone (organ pop). Enough time, therefore, to harmonise perfectly with each other and create an atmosphere in which both the musicians and the audience feel at ease right from the start.

  DJ-Set by Club Sauuce

  20h30-00h30 | Location: courtyard of the museum

  Club Sauuce, the young collective comprising Vespucci and Lopaulso, is responsible for providing the music in the courtyard of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum and in the park of the Villa Vauban during the Nuit des Musées. As organisers and DJs, they bring together local and international artists to create unique soundscapes. Club Sauuce's musical style moves between disco, funk, house, tech house and minimal house, breathing new life into spaces.

  Guided tour of the exhibition "The Luxembourg Story"

  On the three lower levels of the museum, the exhibition tells the eventful history of the city of Luxembourg, from its origins in the 10th century to the present day. By following the chronology of urban development, divided into four major periods and 17 topics, the exhibition focuses on the most important and characteristic aspects of each epoch.

With the help of the models, documents and other archaeological objects in the permanent exhibition, let us go back in time to the 10th century and see how the medieval city will gradually be built from the primitive castle called Lucilinburhuc.

  Contemporary art in the exhibition on the history of the City of Luxembourg The Luxembourg Story? Yes, because these contemporary works reflect the image of the city today and are therefore a logical continuation of the historical tour. Discover the works of around ten artists who reflect on socio-cultural issues of urban life in Luxembourg and beyond its borders.

  Explore the production areas of Luxembourg's industry from the 18th century onwards on a tour of our permanent exhibition "The Luxembourg Story". Gloves, faience, roses, tobacco, beer and champagne. Through the model and artefacts, you can discover these products that made the industry in the heart of the city great.

  Culinary Night at Lëtzebuerg City Museum

  17h00-01h00 | Benoît & Claude Viticulteurs

  Benoît & Claude Viticulteurs are a small, family-run winery located in the vineyards of Remich. During the Nuit des Musées, you can find them in the courtyard of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum for a glass of “roude Fiederwäissen”, a first taste of the 2026 wines. Also take pleasure in a culinary time-out in the midst of the cultural richness of this special night.

  During the Nuit des Musées, the brasserie L’Hêtre beim Musée will captivate visitors with its delicious barbecue. The chefs will add a special touch to the activities held in the courtyard of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum by offering freshly prepared snacks made from high-quality ingredients.
