  • Naturmusée
    Workshop: Microfossils
17h00 - 23h00 (LU, EN, FR, DE) | Meeting point: Second Floor

Become a researcher for a night! In this Citizen Science Workshop, we’ll search for tiny fossils hidden in a bonebed from Larochette and uncover clues about the past.

  • Naturmusée
Workshop: Males show off… females choose
17h00 - 23h00 (LU, EN, FR, DE) | Meeting point: First Floor

Why do some animals have extravagant colours, impressive antlers, spectacular feathers or remarkable songs? Through playful challenges in the form of an escape game, discover how animals compete, show off and choose their partners.

  • Naturmusée
    Performance: La Femme Crocodile
    19h00 & 21h00 (FR) | Meeting point: Museum entrance

A Pop-Rock Crocodile Woman, torn from her wild jungle by a hunter, tells us about her life of glitter and glamour, her hopes and disappointments, against a backdrop of female and animal emancipation.

Based on a text by Joy Sorman | Performed by Valérie Crouzet | An idea by Meriam Korichi

  • Naturmusée
    Concert: Sounds of the Symbiocene
    20h00 & 22h00 | Meeting point: Second Floor

A concert imagined from fragments of the Naturmusée’s sound archives from the year 2300. Blending natural sounds and human compositions, this creation evokes a world in which the boundary between nature and culture has gradually lost its meaning.

With Lex Gillen & Gérard Delesse

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary at the Grund, we take a look behind the scenes of the museum to discover its professions, collections, methods and projects. From field collecting to digital technologies, we explore how the museum builds, shares and brings knowledge about nature to life.

SUSTAINABILITY

The Museum Night is committed to organising a more environmentally responsible event:

- Our communications have gone green! We print climate-neutral on recycled paper. And to further reduce our ecological footprint, the evening's programme is available exclusively online.

- Special shuttle buses! Along with free public transport, special shuttle buses will run between the seven museums throughout the evening. In addition to our beloved historic buses, we introduced 100% electric mini-buses! Take a look at our shuttle timetable. You can also use the free Night Bus services offered by multiple municipalities for a hassle-free trip back home. Further information: mobiliteit.lu

- Eat local and organic food! Discover a culinary offer that is partly local and organic, with vegetarian and vegan options.

- All reusable! This year, the museums are opting exclusively for reusable tableware and will no longer be handing out single-use gadgets.

Want to go the extra mile in supporting us? The museum shops will be open during the Museum Night. Don’t forget to bring your own bags — it’s better for the environment!

SAY CHEESE !

Photos and videos of the activities and audience may be taken throughout the event. They will then be used across different channels for communication purposes. If you do not wish for your children or yourself to appear on these photos, please make this known at the information desk.
