Musée Dräi EechelenGuided tours of the exhibition "Collect10ns 2012-2022"17H00 (LU) | 18H00 (FR) | 19H00 (EN) | 20H00 (DE) | 21H00 (EN)
This year, the Museum Dräi Eechelen – Fortress, History, Identities is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Kirchberg. This is a great opportunity to present the key objects that the M3E has acquired during this decade, which has been particularly rich in finds and donations. Along the way, you’ll encounter Charles the Bold, a monstrance from the Marienthal monastery, a marble sculpture of the Prussian king, a spectacular vase from the Boch company and rosette stones from one of the fortress gates.
The exhibition focuses primarily on the history behind the objects and their provenance. Collected tirelessly by some, handed down from generation to generation by others such as the Munchens, the de Tornacos, the Blochausens and the Bechs, these objects all have one thing in common; Luxembourg’s fortress. Come and (re-)discover these gems, presented together for the first time for the museum’s 10th anniversary.
-
Musée Dräi EechelenFortress history in front of your eyes17H00 – 23H00
Historical reenactments approach history in a different way by realistically reproducing the everyday life of our ancestors. They make the past tangible and give people a taste of what things were really like back then. For the Museum Night, the Cercle d'histoire vivante a.s.b.l. and the 9th Light Infantry Regiment will put on a performance of the 9th Light with a troop of Napoleonic soldiers, the Soldier's School, rifle shooting and intervention of the Imperial Customs.
-
