  A marshal’s baton is not only a military insignia of rank with historical value, but is often also a beautifully decorated work of art. In our workshop, you can design your very own marshal’s baton from a simple stick. Let your imagination run wild and stick on sparkling stones, wrap colourful ribbons around it and create unique shapes – just as you like!

  Musical performance: Daniel Migliosi Quartet

  Daniel Migliosi is a Europe-based jazz trumpet player known for his expressive improvisations and deep sound. Blending elements of bebop, swing and modern music, his music draws comparisons to artists like Miles Davis’ Second Quintet and Wynton Marsalis‘ “Black Codes”. Daniel’s debut album on Melusina Records, QUINTANOPIA, explores themes of love, swing and groove, wrapped in colourful harmonies and incredible musicians. Having performed at intimate venues and major festivals alike, he captivates audiences with his expressive, emotional performances. With a growing fanbase and critical acclaim, Daniel Migliosi is an artist on the rise, bringing a fresh yet timeless voice to the jazz scene.

  The title "Skin", chosen for the projection onto the museum’s main façade, refers to the largest organ in the human body. Just as skin serves as a covering and protective layer, Fort Thüngen, which houses the Musée Dräi Eechelen, formed part of the outer line of fortifications that protected the City of Luxembourg from the 18th century until its dismantling in 1867. The content draws inspiration from the former purpose of this silent witness and, without a soundtrack, suggests the fragility of a city over time by using images in an abstract and organic manner.

  Permanent exhibition "Fortress, History, Identities"

  Discover the history of Luxembourg’s fortress through the unique and exceptional objects on display in the permanent exhibition. Travel back in time and meet the fascinating characters who have shaped over 500 years of Luxembourgish history.

  From 18h00 until 23h00 our museum guides are available in the exhibition rooms to answer your questions.

  Guided tour "Dem Thüngen seng Kasematten"

  17h15 - 22h15 (LU, DE, FR, EN) | Location: Ground floor

  Guided tours through the underground tunnel connecting the Thüngen and Obergrünewald forts have a duration of 45 minutes and are offered throughout the evening. Equipped with helmets, you will walk through this tunnel, which was built by the Austrians in 1732-33. This tour is not accessible for people with reduced mobility or claustrophobia, as the underground connection is about 2 metres high and 1 metre wide.

  Culinary Night at Musée Dräi Eechelen: Sabores Argentina - A family story between two lands

  Since 2021, Verónica and Federico have been bringing traditional Argentine cuisine to Luxembourg. At the heart of their foodtruck is a heritage that began in 1889 with the emigration of Verónica's great-grandfather to Argentina. This history lives on through family recipes made from fresh, regional products. The menu features specialities such as homemade empanadas, grilled meats (parrilla) and desserts with sweet dulce de leche. Perfectly matching the Luxembourgish venue, they also serve the Argentine craft beer "Stempels" by Verónica's brother, whose logo depicts the outlines of the Musée Dräi Eechelen. Through this authentic food, the couple creates a culinary bridge that connects both cultures.
